Soar

I had so much fun doing this page! I can't believe how easy it came together once I decided what I wanted to do. All the papers and embellishments are MME! I went ahead and outlined the pattern on the background paper with black pen and then outlined everything with black ink. I love how it makes everything stand out and how blue Colin's eyes look!

I wanted to wrap the twine around the picture to help draw your eye to it.

 I went ahead and cut around part of one of the kits and layered it over the top of the title. I think it helps to tie everything together.

 I thought outlining the kites and clouds really make the design stand out and pop a bit off the page.

Trying hard to get away from the "little" boy pages for Patrick. I mean he is 8 years old going on 16!! This one was quite challenging as I went a little bit out of my comfort zone with the distressing of the papers. I wanted to make the stars stand out a bit so I used some glossy accents on them and I love how they turned out.  They stand out from the page...but not too much...which is what I was trying to go for. Papers are Glitz Design, tag is from MME and arrows are Basic Gray.
